Orlando, Florida, is known to many people as the city full of amusement parks because, well, it is! You got your four Disney Parks, Universal Studios Orlando, Sea World, plus all of the water parks that coincide with these parks. Well, amusement parks can be pretty expensive, and sometimes you can’t afford to visit them. Well, if that is you, then you’re in luck! Today, I am going to share with you six great things to do in Orlando that are affordable, and your family will have a blast!
Mini Golf: There are tons of mini golf courses in Orlando, but there are two that I would highly recommend! They both offer two different courses that you can play, or you can choose to just play one. The first is Disney’s Fantasia Gardens, and there you can play the Fairways, which is a more difficult course, and it’s about as close to a real golf course that you’re going to get when you are mini golfing, and they also have the Fantasia Gardens course, which is a simpler, more family-friendly course! The other course is found on the Universal Studios City Walk and it is the Drive In Mini Golf in which offers two different movie-themed courses.
Helicopter Tour: There are a few different Helicopter Tour companies in Orlando, and it’s a really neat experience to get to fly over Orlando, and you’re able to see Disney and all of Orlando from up above.
Orlando Sealife Aquarium: The Orlando Sealife Aquarium is such a fun place to visit, especially for the little ones. There is such a wide array of animals to see, and there are many interactive experiences, such as a face-to-face encounter with sharks!
Gatorland: If you’re looking to take a walk on the wild side, check out
Gatorland! You can see hundreds upon hundreds of various types of gators and crocodiles. Not to mention, they have some of the rarest alligators in the world!
Madame Tussaud’s Orlando: Go meet some of your favorite celebrities at
Madame Tussaud’s! Well, their wax figures, anyway. Trust me, they’re about as lifelike as you’re gonna get, and it’s really interesting to see and take pictures with all of them.
CSI Experience: If you are a fan of crime shows such as CSI or Law & Order, this is the activity for you! In Orlando, you can go to the CSI Experience, where you get to go in and solve your very own crime. Trust me, it is a cool experience and it is definitely a once in a lifetime. You do feel like you are in the show, CSI!
See?? There is so much more to Orlando, Florida, than just the amusement parks! These are just a few of the many things to do in Orlando, and they are much more affordable than a day at the
amusement parks.
