Hands down, one of my favorite travel tips is to pack a Ziploc bag full of my favorite K-cups and bring it along on my adventures.
Most hotels now have Keurigs in the rooms but the coffee they offer? Is usually pretty nasty or generic. That means when I pack my own I know I will be able to enjoy a mug of French Vanilla Cappuccino or my Highlander Grogg each morning.
Even if I start the day on the run – they usually include to-go disposable coffee cups so I am all set!
Little did I know that my simple travel tip would go viral!! It seemed to resonate with readers so my idea of a Traveling Cheesehead coffee line was born.
I was always a coffee lover
I was always a coffee lover, and I grew up being treated by my mom to a variety of different kinds of brew. As a result, I have developed a bit of snobbery when it comes to the beans.
In my opinion, the best coffee comes from small family farms that use traditional methods. The coffee should be freshly ground, and the brewing process should be done slowly and carefully. I like my coffee with a bit of milk and sugar, but I am also willing to try new things.
For instance, I recently had a cup of cold brew coffee that was flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg, and it was absolutely delicious. I am always on the lookout for new ways to enjoy my favorite beverage.
I wanted to be different
When I set out to create my line of gourmet coffees, I knew that I wanted to offer something truly unique. I wanted to create a line of coffees that would be enjoyed by coffee lovers all over the world but tie them into my travels.
After months of research, creating fun flavors, and taste testing, and I finally settled on a blend of beans that were roasted to perfection. The end result: We created a variety of blends that are sure to please even the most discerning coffee drinker.
From light and refreshing to rich and full-bodied, my coffees offer something for everyone. And because I only use the highest quality beans, you can be sure that you’re getting the best cup of coffee possible.
Even cooler than that? Each different flavor of coffee, tea, or cocoa is tied into a travel memory. Some destinations I ventured to, some place I found amazing, and some flavor combinations that came to mind when thinking about it.
My coffees are made with 100% Arabica beans
My coffees are made with 100% Arabica beans and roasted using a unique process that brings out the best flavor profile. The beans are roasted in small batches and then ground to release their natural oils and flavors.
This results in a rich, full-bodied coffee that is perfect for any time of day. My coffees are also uniquely blended to create a unique flavor profile that we had a lot of fun with.
