This entire museum is dedicated to one of America’s most famous forefathers, the great Benjamin Franklin. Here you can find artifacts and other displays that tell of Benjamin Franklin’s life. These are not only educational and hands-on displays but also fun for families of all ages.

Independence National Historical Park

If you want to see a slice of history, you don’t want to miss Independence National Historical Park. Here you’ll get to see the Liberty Bell Center, Congress Hall, and so much more! This park is known as America’s most historic square mile, and during the summer months, you can even take a walking tour.

If you are looking to make this a learning experience, consider stopping by Philadelphia’s Historic District. You’ll find 13 outdoor benches with free historical stories of Philadelphia. There are two floors of exhibits where your children can enjoy the hands-on fun! If you are looking for a cheap admission, consider going between 4 pm and 7 pm on Wednesdays and get in for only $2!
